As it’s been mentioned time and time before, I have spent a considerable number of years holed up in Northwest recording studios behind mixing boards big and small evoking magical recordings from well-known artists to the obscure. And while these days it’s rare, I have recently had the wonderful opportunity to work with Red Jacket Mine under the infallable leadership of producer Ken Stringfellow.
The recording is long since finished and the mixes have finally achieved the necessary level of polish to send then out into the world to flap their wings and make favorable impressions. In the meantime, the members of Red Jacket Mine turned up for a recent gig at the newly renovated and rebirthed Crocodile Café to remind Seattle of who they are and manifest what they’ve been up to over the past few months.
As a friend, fan and colleague I jumped at the opportunity to head down to 3rd and Blanchard to take in their live performance and snap a few shutters alongside Seth Wonner, the (un)official Red Jacket Mine photographer and my photog geek buddy friend.
Technical info for all shots: Nikon D700, Nikon 12mm-24mm, ISO2000, f/2.8, 1/30th of a second and manual WB of 2000K.
