Jack Newman

I had an idea about some infant images I wanted to try and Jack Newman proved to be the perfect candidate this evening.  Jack’s proud older sister Erika even made it into a frame while doing duty as my stand in for dialing in exposure values.

  2. These are great shots. I do see the “Burning” of the hot white but it is not distracting and It was not in my first thoughts. Having just little Jack in the shot with all of the black background is perfect. Babies are so sterile and delicate and detailed that it is distracting to have a bunch of colors and strollers and toys cluttering the image, just the baby and the hands brings me into the feeling of being around something as pure and honest as a small child.

Well, just getting around to a visit here. 45 days is just about my time constant - ask my wife.

I’ve always been fond B&W photography. These shots are wonderful in their high contrast, sharp detail, and capture of a true moment in time. It’s been years since I have seen her. Yet, I can see Pam so clearly in Erika’s image.

Beautiful children and wonderful images! An excellent job of reproduction on behalf of all parties!
