Kip Beelman | Photography bio picture

Welcome to my Blog!

I am a Seattle, WA based photographer celebrating life through moments captured and supported by the love of my wife Sasha and daughter Ella Rose.  Besides shooting beautiful weddings, adorable families, precious little ones, cool high school grads or hip rock bands, favorite things include:  Travel, music, great coffee, uninhibited laughter, vigorous bicycle rides, a top-notch glass of wine, and 18 holes with a good cigar.

My photographic journey began in the fall of 2004 with the arrival of my daughter - The early images of Ella were crude at best and simply unacceptable.  As never one to settle for anything less than excellence with an artistic drive and technical aptitude derived from over 15 years experience lodged in recording studios as engineer and producer for such artists as Brandi Carlile, Death Cab for Cutie, Sleater-Kinney and a zillion more, a new passion was born to become the best photographer I could possibly be.  This is a passion and journey that continues to this day.

I am available worldwide to capture your wedding, portrait, event or unique story - Please feel free to send me an email through the Connect link to tell me more about what you're looking for and how I can help!

Real Estate Photography: Condo Shoot

My friend suddenly moved to northern Georgia to help deal health issues in his new wife’s family. Sitting in Pioneer Square is his beautifully renovated bachelor pad that he is putting on the market and needed photos of.

I don’t have a PC lens in my bag, so instead I just let it rip with my 12mm-24mm for the ultimate wide effect. Other than the wide angle lens and a tripod (of course), I used 2 Nikon speedlights to help fill dark areas and/or to accent certain features.
