Yesterday I was back again with Jamie Hunsdale to make more images for the Bad Animals website. This time we were accompanied by art director Wendi Wills and set about making some personality-driven images that featured Jamie as the primary subject incorporated his bicycle as a secondary subject.

As a trusted friend and steel horse, Jamie and his bicycle are seen all over town at Critical Mass, hauling a trailer full of groceries and cat food, and perfecting bar spins… All with no gears or brakes. This style of bicycle is called a fixie and it’s got a huge cult following folks.

Most of the shots were done with three lights:  one 43″ shoot thru umbrella as the key light, one for the bicycle or background, and one for a jaw/hair accent light.

This morning my favorite subject and I were out for a stroll.  The soft, diffuse natural light of the overcast sky combined with her in her Halloween costume was just too good to not capture.  My little sweetheart is as pretty as a peacock for sure!

This afternoon the show went on the road to Puyallup, Washington in order to make a collection of senior portraits for Aric Archambault. Aric is a proud Ram at Rogers High School and is a member of the division winning varsity football team.

Today’s session was the fall portion of a two part portrait sequence that will include images made this upcoming spring. Along for the ride were his mom Carla Archambault and dad Curt.
