I met up with beautiful girl Sonja, handsome young man Jacob, cool daddy-o Blaine and my point of contact, uber-mom Nancy. The scene of the crime was Magnolia’s Discovery Park, simultaneously one of Seattle’s most majestic and sprawling outdoor spaces. The golden sun of a beautiful August night didn’t count against us either!

Some friends especially close to my wife just gave birth to their first child and I was excited to grab the camera for our hospital visit. He was only about 2.5 hours old when these pictures were taken… Beautiful baby Hunter.

Valentine’s Day is coming and Brenna and A.J.’s mommy wants to send out some photo cards of her beautiful daughters. Our shoot was piggybacked onto the headshot/portrait session with Jeff Anderson, so I was using my portable Botero background with one Alien Bees B800 through a 60″ Photek Softlighter II. The light was positioned straight-on for a simple butterfly look. The time between the first capture and the final frame was 118 seconds. This is what you call a quickie.
