Here are answers to some frequently asked questions:
Do you come to us or do we come to you?
We are happy to accommodate your needs whether outdoors, at your headquarters or in a Seattle studio.
What if we’re not interested in traditional business headshots?
We strive to work tightly with you, your creative team or your brand alignment partner to create the images that you need to portray your vision and maintain consistency. This may be manifested in traditional business and executive formats or can take a contemporary edge with more of a lifestyle and editorial approach.
We’re usually pressed for time, how long does it take per team member?
We appreciate that you’re busy and can typically get a great selection of images from a subject in about 2 minutes when working in a single location or set-up. An editorial look takes a bit longer, with ten to 15 minutes per set-up.
What about licensing and usage?
You’re welcome to use the images for internal communication, web use and promotional materials in perpetuity at no additional cost. We use industry standard licensing terms and rates if your needs expand to print advertising or broadcast.
Do you retouch or enhance the images?
You will receive one retouched image of your choice per person that has been retouched and enhanced to lightly smooth skin, remove blemishes, address lint issues, etc. while maintaining a real, lifelike feel.
What happens after the shoot?
An online slideshow will be presented within two weeks of the shoot date with an edit consisting of 3-5 images per person or per set-up. From this slideshow you can distribute it among the decision makers to notify us of the images you’d like retouched.
Final, retouched images in full resolution JPG are available immediately via a shared Dropbox folder within one week of receiving your selections. All of the images from your session, including those that are retouched, will be sent to you on CD/DVD via post.
We’re planning a team-building event at Alderbrook Resort (for example) and would love to have the portraits done there. Do you travel?
We understand that sometimes it’s hard to get all the members of the team in one place at a time and would be delighted to join you on your leadership retreat or team-building function. We have a simple travel card that covers every geo-destination in Washington and beyond.
What additional services do you provide? Hair? Make-up? Styling? Production? Digital asset management?
We work with a great team of local hair and make-up artists that are talented, professional and fun to be around while they cleverly even skin tones, fix blemishes, notice stray hairs, deal with shine and more – They don’t change the way your team members look; They prepare them for the little things that the camera sees while presenting them at their best. We also have wardrobe stylists that can pull from their collections and work with your team to put together the most flattering looks while maintaining brand alignment.
A producer can be used for jobs that are more complex to deal with issues such as: A high number of talent, logistics, transport, catering, location management, accommodation, scheduling, permits, etc. Please contact to see if this is right for your job.
On-site digital asset mangers, or digital techs, are available for live capture to a workstation with instant viewing capabilities and redundant back-up for jobs where workflow, data integrity and intensive art direction are paramount.
