Palace Ballroom Wedding Photography

Iron Chef. The Stilt Lady. Lumi the Luminous Pariah. And true love. It was a wedding for the senses and a night to remember.

The Palace Ballroom wedding photography made for great entertainment, portraits and romance as this couple celebrated their nuptials in downtown Seattle near the monorail tracks.

The Palace Ballroom is the catering and events location for Tom Douglas, a famous winning Iron Chef contestant and restauranteur who is dominating the Seattle landscape. The ballroom is chic, urban and offers amazing food (of course) and extraordinary occasions such as this one.

After the couple got ready at the nearby Hotel Andra in simple, clean rooms with soft light flooding in through the ample windows, they were greeted at the venue by the Stilt Lady, who wowed everyone who entered the ballroom as she appeared four feet off the ground and in character as a peacock.

After a sweet ceremony, Lumi the Luminous Pariah, a Seattle-based character, model and cabaret performance artist, offered wild entertainment throughout the evening. Beautiful bridal attire for both was created by legendary dress maker Luly Yang – you can see the simple elegance in this black and white shot as well as the happy newlywed smiles.

This image was taken near the end of the night, after the couple had entertained and mingled with guests for hours, when they finally found a moment to be together on the dance floor and simply enjoy each other’s company. In the end, after all of the color and excitement, it simply came down to a quiet moment together.
