Kristi + ErinBest Friend SessionSeattle, WA

Kristi is an Austin, TX wedding and portrait photographer.  Erin is a bad-ass living in NYC.  Due to the distance between them, these best friends threw a dart at Seattle to spend some long overdue time catching up, checking out my city and having fun like only two best friends can.  We had ambitious plans on where to photograph that got slightly curtailed by some fast-moving inclement weather, but we did manage to cover most of what was on our agenda.  The Alki beach cruiser bicycles will have to wait until the next visit!

We just barely made it to Pike Place Market before the vendors where closing up shop for the day.  Maximillien, one of my personal favorite restaurants, were sly kind enough to let two gorgeous ladies and a photographer commandeer the upstairs for a couple glasses of Nicolas Feuillatte.  They wanted to see the famous gum wall <sigh>, but I got a unique spin on this cliché Seattle photo… Thanks Erin – You are c-c-cold!  The next chapter in our story was to try and get on the Alki boardwalk, but dark & stormy rolled in fast.  A couple of skyline pics and we had to run for cover.

By the time we made it over to the Ballard area, I could see the clouds breaking and a last sliver of daylight exiting stage left.  It was nice to spend 15 minutes roasting marshmallows and warming ourselves in the company of a roaring bonfire at Golden Gardens.  Kristi likes her marshmallows crispy!  The girls hadn’t eaten since breakfast or something so we headed to King’s Hardware for a little hipster flair served with our gnosh and beverages.  A frat boy fight next to the skee ball tables nearly happened.  Our server anti-flirted hard.  Patron shots definitely happened.

I love these girls and had so much fun.  Thank you so much.  And thank you for the Twitter DM’s telling me you cry when you watch the slideshow… It warms my heart and makes me feel like I’m doing something right.  The link to the slideshow is found here.  Best friends rule.
