Lake Washington Rowing Club Wedding Photography
To me, this wedding photo says: “I will go anywhere with you. Let’s see the world together. Let’s start now.” As you can see, these newlyweds enjoyed a mellow Seattle day for their wedding, taking advantage of the Seattle Center as well as the funky textures of the Fremont neighborhood for wedding photography and portraits.
Fremont is a creative neighborhood and the self-proclaimed “center of the universe,” host to the unexpected and unconventional, like this motor home (and reported trolls living under local bridges). The bride and groom share a great sense of humor and adventure, and I enjoyed exploring local sights and sounds with them. The grittier background simply emphasizes their elegance and beauty, as well as the ease of their laughter.
The couple got ready at the nearby Homewood Suites, which afforded generous corner suites and beautiful light for documenting the rituals and tender moments found during getting ready coverage. The ceremony then took place at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Parish, which is Seattle’s oldest Catholic parish, and they capped the day off with a reception at the Lake Washington Rowing Club, just minutes from downtown Seattle.
The rowing club combines a genuine boathouse with rowing shells with a Celebration Hall for special events. Lake Washington Rowing Club wedding photography brings together the traditional and contemporary, sporty and stylish, casual and chic in its handsome surroundings, offering breathtaking views of Lake Union, downtown Seattle and the majestic Mt. Rainier. Whether traveling by motor home, car, bus, boat or plane, I think this couple is ready to set out on their next adventure together.Location: 910 N Northlake Way, Seattle, WA 98103.
