Seattle Aquarium Wedding Photography
What do weddings and sea creatures have in common? In this case, quite a bit. The bride and groom hosted both their wedding and reception at the Seattle Aquarium at the edge of Puget Sound's Elliott Bay, where their guests could enjoy some of the most extraordinary spaces and views in Seattle, including the luminous Window on Washington Waters with hundreds and hundreds of fish.
The couple got ready for their big day at the lovely nearby Alexis Hotel and the bride wore a beautiful, vintage beaded dress, which you can see in all of its intricate beauty here.
Their Seattle Aquarium wedding photography included amazing views of the near-dusk outdoor wedding ceremony on the patio followed by cocktails at sunset, not to mention the majestic Olympic Mountains in the background. We took a brief break from the reception, which was held in front of the aquarium’s mammoth 120,000-gallon fish tank, so that guests could view the evening otter feeding.
In addition, guests were also free to explore the aquarium throughout the night and get better acquainted with jellyfish, octopuses and more than 800 fish and invertebrates that are indigenous to the Pacific Northwest’s local waters. The massive fish tank provided a rare glimpse into aquatic life under the surface of Puget Sound.
Likewise, the wedding and wedding photography offered a first look into this happy couple’s new world as husband and wife – both under the sea and on solid ground.Location: 1483 Alaskan Way, Seattle, WA 98101.
